Wynford Saves Lives
By: Meghan HarrerOn October 9, 2013, from 7:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wynford High School set up a blood drive at the high school with the American Red Cross Foundation. Mrs.Martin, Mr. Hoffman and the members of Wynford FFA set up this event and helped make it run smoothly. Any members in the Wynford community and the school were allowed to give blood if you met the requirements such as height, weight and iron levels. Sugary snacks were all around the gym for people who were a bit wobbly after giving blood to get their sugar levels back up. Around 27 people gave blood which collected 24 pints of blood. Wynford FFA did fall short of their goal of 31 pints, but the 24 pints collected will help save a life.
