Royals Defeat Eagles at Volley for the Cure Game
By: Meghan HarrerOn October 3, 2013, the Wynford Royals volleyball team hosted the Volley for the Cure game against the Colonel Crawford Eagles. The Junior Varsity team defeated the Eagles in two games 25-16 and 25-14. In the Varsity game, the Royals came out on top in three games with scores of 25-13, 25-10, and 25-15. The Royals and the Eagles wore pink jerseys with their numbers on the back for breast cancer awareness. The Royals Varsity team all wore matching neon pink socks and shoe strings with matching tank top jerseys. The gym was packed full of Royal fans in pink with signs hanging on all the walls. Many other festivities took place during the Volley for the Cure game such as a pink king winner, raffle prizes and many more games.
