Freshman Boys on Fire
By: Sara HoffmanThe freshman boys’ basketball team defeated the Galion Tigers, 55-34, on December 12th at home. The Galion Tigers could not stop the Royals offense while our defense controlled the Tigers. By the end of first quarter, the Royals took an early lead with the help of Michael Barber’s four points. Just getting warmed up, the Royals offense continued to control the Tigers leading at halftime. The Royals shot very well from the floor as well as the free throw line during the third period; scoring 20 points to maintain their lead throughout the quarter. Nevering backing down, the Royals Tyler Glowaski helped seal the victory for the Royals contributing five points in the fourth period. The Royals contributed as a team for the win with a balanced scoring attack. Jack Reed and Zach hoffman lead the way for the Royals with 12 points while Michael Barber added 10 points. The Tigers had no chance of stopping the Royals. They were on fire. The Royals travel to North Robinson to take on the Colonel Crawford Eagles on Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30 p.m.
