JV Lady Royals Suffer First Loss
By: Shaelynn DuncanTuesday, December 3, 2013, the Royals hosted the Mohawk Warriors. During the first half, both teams played very well offensively. This left the Lady Royals leading at halftime 22-18. The game continued to be close throughout the second half thanks to Wynford’s top three scorers; Sarah Ogden, Gretchen Harris, and Sydney Alspach. The girls gave it their all until the final buzzer trying to stay ahead on the scoreboard, but ended up falling behind at the final buzzer 44-38. This was the lady royals first loss of the season. The girls hope to get back to their winning ways at their next game on Tuesday, December 10 at home against Bucyrus.
Royals Rout Warriors
By: Lexi CreelTuesday, December 3, 2013, the Lady Royals hosted the Lady Warriors. The Lady Royals started the night off strong and never trailed in the game. Meghan Harrer, Karlee Schiefer, and Ellie Richmond started the game off with four consecutive three point field goals. The leading scorers of the night were cousins Ellie Richmond with 17 points and Karlee Schiefer with 16 points. The Lady Royals come out with a win on the scoreboard 56-33. The Lady Royals continue their season on Friday, December 6th at 6:00 pm hosting Buckeye Central.
